Title: Never Ask Viron for a Favor
Series: Arcanus
Characters: Viron and Arlillia
Genre: Fantasy and er...drama? It's not really comedy...
Rating: M for language
Words: 598
Summary: Arillia needs a favor from Viron...the bitching ensues.
Notes: For those curious, Viron is mentioned briefly in Arcanus as being Rioran's older brother. He's half dragon, half demon, which is why he can speak draconic. He's also a very, very, very, very angry and bitter individual. Makes for fun tiems.

Never Ask Viron for a Favor

“Fuck. No.”

Arlillia sighed, tilting her head to the side as she pursed her full lips. “Viron, you are being difficult.”

Golden eyes narrowed at cool grey. “Fuck you, you manipulative bitch. I say that with all the hatred I can muster in my blackened heart.”

He was so dramatic. “Baby brother, I am not asking you for the impossible, you know.” She crossed her arms underneath her ample chest and raised a delicate brow. “Try to be reasonable for once.”

Closing his eyes, Viron took a few deep breaths, obviously trying to keep from losing his temper. “Lillia. What part of ‘no’ are you failing to comprehend? Maybe I can phrase it differently so you have a better understanding. Hells no, holy fucking shit no, absolutely fucking not, evistir lovenik –

“I do speak draconic, by the way.” She interrupted.

“No. No. No. Do it yourself. As a matter of fact, why don’t you get that useless creature you call a mate to do it?”

“You know good and well he’s gone on a diplomatic mission. Rioran sent him personally.”

“Then get that bastard to do it!”

She gave him a look. “You really want me to go up to the demon king of the west with such a trivial request?”

“Absolutely! Screw Rior, he doesn’t do shit anyway but complain.”

“And this is different from you how...?”

“Don’t change the godsdamn subject.” He glared at her. “Sister,” he said, putting every inch of venom in his voice that he could. “Do you realize who you are asking to do this? This is me. I hate everyone. That includes the little shits you’re trying to get me to cater to.”

The wind demoness bristled at this “They are your niece and nephew!”

“They’re little bastards and I hate children. Gods, they’re not even in their twenties, they’re practically babies. I’m telling you Lillia, they’ll piss me off. Then I’ll lose it and drown them in their own blood or something equally horrible.”

“Viron, I assure you if I had a choice in the matter, I wouldn’t be asking.” She was silent for a moment before a sinister grin emerged. “If you don’t do this for me, my precious little brother, I’ll pull my bullshit card.”

Scowling – a typical expression for him really – the half-demon gave her a look. “What bullshit card?”

The grin spread “You know the one. That bullshit card.”

There was silence. Then Viron blanched and took a step back, eyes widening. “You wouldn’t. You can’t! Arlillia, you better not!”

A soft yawn escaped as she looked at her well manicured nails. “Dear, oh dear. I wonder what Rioran would do if he found out the truth about...”

“Damnit Lillia!” putting a frustrated hand through his hair he began to pace his sister’s living room, clearly agitated. It was obvious that he was seriously debating his options but nothing was coming to mind. He let out a savage growl that did not at all sound human as he turned to her. His golden eyes were blazing with fury. “This is why I hate women. Fine. I’ll do it...I’ll babysit your little spawns that should have been smothered at birth. But you owe me so much for this. I mean it.”

Rolling her eyes, she walked over and patted his shoulder, ignoring the glare. “Of course, little brother. Once you find that perfect man or woman –“ she ignored his loud snort “I’ll be more than happy to watch your brood whenever you desire.”

“Whatever. I hope you die, you bitch.”

“I love you too, Viron.”
