So, there's been silence on this end, I know. Not that I haven't been writing, quite the opposite! To be honest, I kind of fell out of the Naruto fandom, which is a really huge reason why there's been no real fic updates on that front, as opposed to Dragon Age updates. Still, I've also not been writing a lot of fanfiction, which has everything to do with RL issues.
For one, my husband is getting out of the military, so I am trying to finish my second novel before the end of the year. This way, I can have a projected release of perhaps the middle of next year if the manuscript is accepted. Along with this, I plan on writing some short stories and the like. Writing is something I wish to make a living off of, and this cannot be done unless one.....you know, writes.
I completed 60k of my 100k+ novel, Bound by Blood, which is the second novel in The Arcanus Series. For NaNoWriMo, I'm doing the other half of the novel.
So what does that mean? Well, it means fanfiction probably won't get worked on for a long while, not until I've finished these shorts and what have you, because I also have to deal with moving back to the United States and getting myself situated in civilian life. It also means I have to promote my second novel, because it won't promote itself, which means less time for writing fanfic. It doesn't mean I've given up on it, because all fics unfinished I plan on finishing, even if it's just to post a full synopsis of what I had initially planned on writing. I don't want to do this, so instead, the stories might be wrapped up sooner than anticipated. After I'm done with the Naruto ones, that's it. Unless something actually draws me in, I probably won't be doing any more Naruto fanfiction, I'm just not digging it like I used to and finding fanfic out there that I haven't already read is extremely difficult.
I'm not going to lie, there's a lot more awesome Dragon Age fanfics than Naruto, and I think it's mostly because of the age difference. Older folks tend to play games like Dragon Age, whereas all ages of kids and adults watch Naruto.
But thank you for all the comments on the fics here and what have you. They've been refreshing to read! I DO want to finish my SasuNeji fics, because I still love that pairing like burning.
- I have been working on Closer. Very slowly. Very painfully. This chapter will probably be the last one, because it's not really going anywhere in my head any longer and my love for SasuHina is....well it's not as strong as it used to be. I've read a few fics that brought back my love for the pairing, but overall, it's HARD to find some good SasuHina. Either Sasuke is too much of an asshole, or is overly bland, or Hinata is too whiny/crybaby/weakling to the point where I absolutely cannot stand her character. I'm sorry, but the girl isn't weak, she hasn't been weak in a long time. Character development, it's a wonderful thing.
- I want to work on Reformed (SasuNeji), but fuck if I have time. Why can't novels write themselves?

It's completely different (which was to be expected) to a point where I became frustrated with it and decided to scrap it altogether. The Samurai SasuHina fic I do plan on finishing....someday.
